With the creation of the new memorial site, Likteņdārzs has become the only place in Latvia where the members of the Latvian People’s Council, who declared Latvia an independent, sovereign and democratic republic on November 18, 1918, and the deputies of the Supreme Council, who adopted Latvia’s 1990 Declaration of Independence, were honored in one place. on 4 May.
