A group of Braileans, members of the Brailean Association for Civic Education – ABEC, took advantage of their ski holiday in Austria to protest against Romania’s negative vote for Schengen accession.
“At the time this topic was raised, some of us were already on our way and felt the need to express ourselves in some way. And, yes, this seemed like a civilized way to get the attention of those we spoke with.” interacted, both in hotels, restaurants and on the slopes”, says Cristian Lucilius Niculae.
They displayed the flags on the balconies of the houses where they stayed and also took them with them to the slopes.
“The flags on the hotel balconies were placed with the consent of the hotel management,” explains Niculae. Also, on the slope, an apres-ski bartender asked them for a flag to display in the restaurant, reports the Brailean.
