The first meeting with the audience in the Liepaja concert hall “Lielais dzintars” on December 18 was a Christmas concert in which Sonora Vaice, Siegfried Muktupável, Ugis Rosa and the instrumental group Jānis Lūsēns, the organizers of the concert communicated to the “Delfi” portal. With great response, smiles and standing ovations, the audience received both traditional Christmas tunes and pearls of world classics as well as Christmas themed songs by Imantas Kalniņš, Raimonda Paulus, Valtas Pūce, Mārtiņš Braun and other Latvian composers. The second part of the concert consists of the winter atmosphere melodies of composer Jānis Lūsēns, which have already won the love of listeners for many years, as well as some previews of new songs.
At the Christmas concerts, Jānis Lūsēns (keyboards), Aivars Gudrais (guitar), Jānis Lūsēns jun. (bass), Harijs Gutmanis (percussion) and Siegfrieds Muktupävels (violin).
The concerts will continue until December 29 in many Latvian concert halls and churches. Further meetings are planned at the Latgal embassy “GORS” (22.12), the new church of St. Gertrude in Riga (25.12), the cultural center Valmiera (27.12), the Lutheran church of Riga in Torņkaln (28.12) and the house of the Tukuma culture (29.12).
