This year, the forum program includes more than 30 projects, covering almost the entire territory of the city, thus providing the event visitors with a wide and attractive offer of contemporary culture and art.

“White Night” events will be concentrated in the central part of the city and in the quarter of Tallinas Street, however, in general, the objects will be available in Āgenskalns, Imanta, Ķīpsala, Sarkandaugava, Old Riga, VEF area and elsewhere.

White Night 2020 will delight visitors with both popular local and international projects over the years and a new program of local artists. Visitors will be surprised by the light installations of the British artist Luke Jerama, who has already been introduced in previous years, providing an opportunity to get acquainted with the artist’s latest work.

The event organizers have also taken care of those who usually visit the forum, but will not be present this year. The “White Night” on social networks and on the forum’s website will feature online connections to venues and event venues where event organizers and artists will present their work.

The White Night in Riga is part of the international European White Nights project, launched by five European capitals – Brussels, Madrid, Paris, Riga and Rome, and is currently joined by cities around the world.

The idea of the “White Night” is to make contemporary art more accessible to the population by involving those interested in various art events one night a year.

In Riga, the Contemporary Culture Forum “White Night” is organized by the Riga City Council, the Culture Department of the Education, Culture and Sports Department of the Riga City Council in cooperation with Latvian cultural organizations, involving Latvian and foreign artists.
