Phönix Wildau loses home game against leader Schöneiche

The game of the 21st game day of the soccer regional league south between SG Phönix Wildau 95 and SV Germania 90 Schöneiche ended last Saturday in front of 58 spectators with a 4:1 (1:1) for the guests. Due to the simultaneous 0:1 defeat of FC Concordia Buckow/Waldsieversdorf at FV Erkner 1920, the table leader Schöneiche, with even one game less, extends his lead over the Waldsieversdorfer to five points.

The situation is different with the Wildauer. They slip down to twelfth place in the table due to the defeat. Assistant coach Toni Born, who was on the line for the professionally prevented Phoenix head coach Michael Werner, explained after the game: “After a good first half against a strong opponent, where we missed our chances, we have after the change made too many mistakes. Schöneiche was able to take advantage of this immediately.”

Schöneiche started like a championship leader. The guests wanted to have playful sovereignty on the pitch from the start. Wildau fought against it, retreated deep into his own half and tried to set offensive accents with quick countermoves.

The hosts were already successful with their tactics in the eighth minute. After a corner from the left, the ball came back to Simon Bolduan, who gave Germania goalkeeper Emmanouil Demerikos no chance at 1-0 with a wind-assisted arc lamp from 20 meters into the top right corner of the goal.

But the Wildau leadership should not last long. Only four minutes later, a Schöneicher corner came from the left into the short goal area and Felix Angerhöfer irresistibly headed the ball in to equalize. Schöneiche put on the pressure and Denis Teterea had the next chance to head just two minutes after equalizing, but Wildau goalkeeper Michael Braun remained on guard. The Schöneichers still haven’t found any solutions in attack.

The Wildauer, on the other hand, repeatedly appeared dangerously in front of the opposing penalty area. After a little over 15 minutes, Bolduan fired a hard shot from the inside right from 22 meters into the crossbar of the guest goal and Phillip Damm failed to complete a diagonal cross from Maurice Duhme directly from the left after 28 minutes of the game.

However, Schöneiche remained playfully stronger, but the hosts also had their chances. After half an hour, Phillip Schmidt, who had moved up, just missed the Schöneicher goal with a margin after a corner. Only in the 40th minute of the game did Pierre Vogt force the Wildau goalkeeper to make a good save with his shot from almost 14 meters. It stayed at 1:1 for the time being.

After the change, the guests, now playing with a tailwind, came up even stronger. In the 53rd minute, the Wildau goalkeeper Braun underestimated a high ball and ran under it. Angerhöfer took advantage of this and pushed in to give Schöicher a 2-1 lead. As a result, hardly anything came from Wildau offensively.

The guests continued to play with pressure and patience. Teterea made it 3-1 in the 61st minute with a tight shot from a tight angle from the right. The game was decided, but Angerhöfer still had one. With a direct acceptance after a diagonal cross from the left midfield, he overcame Braun in the Wildauer Tor to 4:1. Schöneiche had played calmly, as a climber does.
