All the same in the semifinals of the Western Conference of NBA. Playing at home this Sunday (7), the Phoenix Suns hit the Denver Nuggets by 129 to 124, engaged the second victory in a row and tied the series at 2 to 2 in the playoffs.
Still without Chris Paul, out of action due to a groin problem, the Phoenix team had to chase the result in the first half.
After going out at a disadvantage with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray packed, the hosts counted on Devin Booker and Kevin Durant to balance the actions and turn the match in the second quarter, guaranteeing the advantage of 63 to 61 for the break.
The first half still yielded an unusual moment, when Jokic got involved in a mess with the Suns fans, knocking down the team owner, who held the ball outside the court.
On the way back to the second half, Jokic continued to carry the visitors in search of a third victory. On the other hand, however, the owners of the house had one of the highlights of the series. Inspired, Booker led the Suns into the third quarter, giving Phoenix a lead.
The balance continued to dictate the tone of the match until the final stretch, when Durant and Booker still won the ‘reinforcement’ of Landry Shamet, taking danger from afar. With the trio packed, not even Jokic’s 50+ points were enough to prevent the Nuggets’ defeat in Game 4.
