What’s next for the Brooklyn Nets with Kevin Durant. According to media reports, the first teams are already lurking to get the superstar, including the Phoenix Suns again.
As Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report reports, the Suns are in the starting blocks should Durant also demand a trade after Kyrie Irving’s trade to the Dallas Mavericks. The 34-year-old is currently injured and has not yet commented on the events in Brooklyn.
Kristian Winfield from the New York Daily News At least he wants to know that Durant is anything but enthusiastic about Ben Simmons, who has been injured in the past four games. This is one of the reasons why the telephone lines in Brooklyn should glow, as numerous teams are discussing whether Durant might be available in the coming days.
It was only in the summer that Durant had requested a trade from the Nets, but this did not materialize due to Brooklyn’s high demands. KD still rowed back in the offseason. “So I had a few doubts. I expressed them to Joe (Tsai, team owner, ed.) and then we moved on,” Durant explained at Media Day in September.
In January, Durant insisted his request was a “summer thing,” but by then the Nets were one of the hottest teams in the NBA and ranked second in the Eastern Conference. A little later, however, Durant injured his inner ligament again and has since missed twelve games.
The Nets won five of them and are still in fourth place with good prospects. In total, KD played 39 games this season, with the forward averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists. Durant still has a contract in Brooklyn until 2026 and has collected nearly $ 43 million this season.
