Positive emotional blow for the Phoenix Suns and negative for the Los Angeles Clippers ahead of the third game of the Western Finals, which move to Los Angeles today with a 2-0 lead for the Arizona state team.
This emotional difference is that while the Suns recover Chris Paul, the Clippers will still not have the injured Kawhi Leonard.
Paul missed the first two games against the Clippers by testing positive for Covid-19 and entering the league’s health and safety protocols.
His return fills his team with strength, as Paul has been a crucial player this season since joining the Suns, and his performance was spectacular in the conference semifinals against the Denver Nuggets.
Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard has been out since he sprained his knee on June 14. He missed the last two Clippers games against Jazz, two games the Los Angeles team won to qualify. But in the Western Finals his two absences have been counted as losses.
It seems that Leonard’s injury may have a longer course than his team would like, which for now is quite tight regarding the physical condition of its star.
