The Phoenix Suns prevailed without defeat against the Denver Nuggets and became the first team in the current season of the National Basketball Association (NBA) to reach the semifinals. Led by the outstanding Chris Paul, the Suns defeated the Nuggets on Sunday (local time) in Denver with 125: 118 and decided the series with a “sweep” 4: 0 for themselves.
In the final of the Western Conference, the Suns now face the Utah Jazz or the Los Angeles Clippers. In this “best of seven” series, Jazz lead four 2: 1 before game. The team from Phoenix has a few days off because of this. In the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks equalized in the play-off series against the Brooklyn Nets to 2-2 and now have every chance of making it into the finals.
Paul got 37 points and hit the basket on 14 of his 19 attempts. He got support mainly from Devin Booker, who contributed 32 points. The nuggets weakened themselves because center Nikola Jokic, newly elected MVP (Most Valuable Player), was thrown off the pitch in the third quarter after a foul.
Bucks equalize against nets
The Bucks won their fourth duel with the Nets in front of their fans on Sunday with 107: 96. The Nets had to do without Kyrie Irving early on, who twisted in the second quarter and couldn’t continue. It was not clear after the game whether he would be out longer. James Harden was also no longer available to the team from New York.
