On Monday, he walked into an office in the mall, shooting, hitting the security guard. He then held around thirty people hostage, waved a gun, and shouted that he had a grenade with him. The latter could not be confirmed.
The hostage taker himself worked as a security guard and was recently fired. Before the hostage-taking, he tried to convince his former colleagues to oppose their employer. While the hostage took place, the man’s former boss publicly apologized for the dismissal.
