Philippe Manoeuvre chairs the jury for a new Rock Comics Prize, the Golden Elvis

The 2022 Golden Elvis Prize rewards an album of rock essence released between January 1 and December 31, 2021.

The 6 albums in the running for this first edition, the Golden Elvis 2022, are:

Underground by Arnaud Le Gouëfflec and Nicolas Moog (Glénat editions)

A History of the Velvet Underground by Prosperi Buri (Dargaud editions)

The Lovers of Hérouville: a true story by Yann Le Quellec and Romain Ronzeau (editions Delcourt)

Return to Liverpool by Hervé Bourhis and Julien Solé (Futuropolis editions)

Cool parano: a graffiti testament by Benoit Carbonnel (Even not bad editions)

A Pink Story by Kate Charlesworth, translated by Annick Evrard (Casterman editions)

The 2022 Rock Comics Prize will be awarded by Philippe Manoeuvre on Saturday March 19 at 4 p.m. at the Lion Rouge, 3 place Francis Louvel, in Angoulême.

Chaired by Philippe Manoeuvre, former editor-in-chief of Métal Hurlant and Rock & Folk, the jury is made up of Nine Antico, illustrator, comic book author, screenwriter and film director; Vuillemin, cartoonist and actor; Liberatore, cartoonist; Laetitia Coryn, actress, author and cartoonist; François Julien, head of the culture department of VSD, and Loraine Adam, journalist at Rolling Stone.
