Philippe Lannevère, JAV in the blood in Vichy (Allier)

His first official moves on the floor began in 1969 at the Salle des Ailes when he had never touched a ball in school basketball.

At the age of 15, Philippe Lannevère signs the first chapter of his javist adventure. Spotted on the Wings pitch by Djordje Andrijasevic, the JAV coach, he took the plunge to wear a black and white shirt. “I owe him a lot. Djordje wanted to meet my parents to ask their permission to play Joan of Arc. It wasn’t easy. Fernand, my father, was reluctant. In the family we are more rugby than basketball.
