Phil Spencer congratulated Naughty Dog on their success at The Game Awards 2020

The Game Awards 2020 recognized the most outstanding studios and games in an event full of announcements and engaging revelations. The big winner of the night was undoubtedly The Last of Us: Part II, a title that won Game of the Year and other awards.

Various studios and industry creatives took advantage of the award to recognize the work of Naughty Dog, the study that won the highest number of awards. Xbox was no exception, as Phil Spencer, head of the brand, dedicated a short message to the Sony and PlayStation studio.

This earned him the recognition of Spencer, who commented on Twitter the publication where it was announced that The Last of Us: Part II he was the biggest winner. The Xbox executive congratulated Neil Druckmann, in charge of the sequel and now co-chairman of Naughty Dog.

“Congratulations to Neil Druckmann and the Naughty Dog team, a great game from a great studio,” was the short message Spencer shared on social media. Soon after, Druckmann replied to Spencer and simply thanked him for his congratulations.

A portion of the community celebrated Spencer’s gesture with Naughty Dog and also took the opportunity to congratulate Druckmann on his recent accomplishments.
