Phil Spencer confirms that 2023 will be stronger than 2022. The head of Xbox announces a hotter period

video game industry – as a whole – it’s no secret that it was better for some and worse for others. Xbox can be placed in the latter category, because despite the fact that Game Pass regularly received a lot of strong titles, fans of Microsoft’s production did not have many reasons to be happy in terms of new and large premieres. They were definitely missing there.

As it turns out, Phil Spencer is of a similar opinion, which was raised in a recent interview he had the pleasure of giving. The head of Xbox revealed that 2022 was indeed too light for Xbox in the context of new games, but he also admitted that the coming months of this year will definitely be different. The man is convinced that Microsoft’s plans will please the recipients:

Our commitment to our fans is to keep releasing great games for people to play on our platform, and we haven’t done enough in 2022, there’s no question about that. And I basically take it upon myself. I am the head of this company.

And the commitment we have to our customers to continue delivering great games is something I take seriously – developers as well. 2022 was too light for gaming, so we’re excited to move on to 2023.

And while, of course, Phil couldn’t divulge too many details, he still went for a lot considering how frugal he is about his promises. It remains to be hoped that it will translate into realityand we will be able to enjoy a whole lot of new premieres, thanks to which we will sum up 2023 in completely different words in the context of Xbox than it was now.
