Phil Spencer, leader of Microsoft Gaming, is currently in Brazil to celebrate the Xbox brand with fans at CCXP 2023 in São Paulo and in a conversation during Xbox Fan Fest, he was asked about fans’ passion for video games and more specifically for the Xbox brand .
In his response, Spencer ended up commenting on the recent increase in the Brazilian price of the Xbox Series S as a good example of local fans’ passion for the brand and how they express their opinion, something you can hear from the 17th minute on the official Xbox broadcast Brazil.
“Obviously, there’s a lot of passion around some of our pricing and the feedback we’ve gotten from the community…we’ve been in this market for 17 years, as Xbox, we’ve made consoles locally. We always listen to gamers,” Spencer said.
“We don’t always do everything they want, but I love how passionate the Brazilian fans and the community are in supporting them. But I also know that we have the other side of that passion and what I always say is that we can’t have one without the other and the Xbox community here in Brazil is at the forefront when we look for trends in our business.”
“I think it’s important to show up, show up and listen and make sure we respect the investment that the Brazilian community has made in Xbox, and show that we respect that and value that.”
After praising the Brazilian community for its passion for cloud gaming, this was the second message of affection delivered by Spencer to fans in Brazil.
