Phase 2 of the reopening of New York: when it starts and what can be done

New York continues to enjoy its best moments in the coronavirus pandemic. This Thursday, June 18, State Governor Andrew Cuomo, released the fewest people infected since the coronavirus pandemic began, which has strongly attacked in said area.

The city of ‘The Big Apple’ was one of the last to begin its reopening process. Mayor Bill DeBlasio ordered it as of Monday, June 8, following the same measures as other states of the American Union, and keeping some places closed.

However, it will be next Monday, June 22, when the second phase can start, so Cuomo warned that businesses must be prepared for that reopening process and even warned that those who do not comply with the necessary sanitary measures could close again, since the pandemic continues.

What businesses will be able to open in Second Phase?

Mayor Bill DeBlasio acknowledged that since the start of the reopening in New York City, the number of people who used the means of transportation increased. from the government, mainly the metro, which saw a 25% increase.

At the moment, there has been no significant increase in the number of cases or hospitalized due to coronavirus, however, DeBlasio acknowledged that it could happen in the next few days, and that it would be normal in the transition.

Among the businesses that could open from next Monday are: Restaurants and Bars, although they must do so at 25% of their capacity. Offices, Barbershops, Hairdressers, religious houses, are some of the places that the mayor of the New York city unveiled in his press conference this Thursday.
