Miley Cyrus and Pharrell Williams haven’t done a song together in ten years. The last time they worked together was on the song Come Get It Bae from Williams album Girl 2014, but now they have found each other again and released the new song Doctor (Work it Out).
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, the artists reveal that the new song first surfaced in 2012 and was originally intended to be on Cyrus’ record Bangerz.
– We just knew it was ahead of its time. It’s that moment when you feel how captivating something is, but at the same time you can feel that the environment is not ready for it, Williams tells Lowe.
