According to her, work is still underway to regulate, and after that it is planned to train staff and evaluate pharmacy premises.
Continuing the goal already marked in the summer – to ensure vaccination as close as possible to people’s daily lives – two new mobile vaccination point projects are currently planned – one of them in Riga, and the other – in Līvāni region.
The first of the projects “Vaccination in the vicinity of Riga” will start in mid-October. During the project, mobile vaccination points will be available in several places in the capital. “With buses that have been transformed into vaccination points, we will go around the Riga area according to a previously established route, place this bus in the central place of the specific area and invite the residents of this area to go get the vaccine,” explained Juhņēviča.
A similar project is also planned in Līvāni municipality, where the vaccination bus adapted by the Disease Prevention and Control Center will go along the route of the car shop in the specific territory, thus providing the residents with an opportunity to get vaccinated.
