Phantom Liberty will be screened next week

CD Projekt Group intends to show Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty once again later this year. This statement was made during the GPW Innovation Day online conference, organized by the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

The event was attended by representatives of CD Projekt: CEO Adam Kiczynski and Vice President for Finance Piotr Nelyubowicz. During discussions with investors, they briefly hinted at commercial issues (including a new “incentive program” for employees) and a desire to continue expanding into the film and television market following the success of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Of course, questions about the Polish developer’s games were also asked. Kiczynski said that while the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion’s marketing campaign won’t resume until after release, a “significant promotional piece” is still in the works for this year.

We can only assume that this “pace” will either form part of The Game Awards or take the form of another Night City Wire broadcast (the former being more likely). In any case, the wait is not long.

Another interesting issue raised during the conference was the possibility of releasing projects created by other studios. Kichinski bluntly stated that CD Projekt Group intends to focus on its own developments. He was echoed by Nilubowicz, who added that the company is focused on “creating games for the big screen” (ie PC and console) and is not interested in the VR segment.
