CD PROJEKT RED showed a new trailer for Phantom Liberty, the spy thriller expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, at The Game Awards 2022. The teaser showcases new gameplay and gameplay footage, as well as the reveal of a new cast member.
The teaser shown at the awards gala reveals a new area of Night City called Dogtown, the main setting of the expansion, as well as flashes of gameplay and new additions. It also reveals new characters, first of all Solomon Reed.
Played by actor Idris Elba (Luther, Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Suicide Squad), who joins the cast of Phantom Liberty alongside Keanu Reeves, who plays Johnny Silverhand, Reed is a veteran agent of the New United States of America is apparently the only person players can trust to help them accomplish an impossible mission of espionage and survival.

Following the climax of the teaser, the actor addressed audiences and gamers around the world in a special video, commenting on Reed’s character and his role in the story of Phantom Liberty.
