The expected DLC for the action game Cyberpunk 2077 called Phantom Liberty is coming out in a month. At the evening show at Gamescom, some news were presented that we will see in the paid add-on. And as the gameplay designer from the CD Projekt Red studio confirmed, some of them will be available for free as part of the update for owners of the basic version of the game. But it is not yet clear which one.
For example, there is a new skill tree called “relic”, which should further strengthen the use of cyberware. It can also be used to deflect projectiles with a katana or to dash stylishly through the air. Some skills contain very effective finishers.
Furthermore, the maximum limit for the level of your hero or heroine will be increased, and new cars, weapons and the Dogtown district will be added. The previously criticized clashes with the police should also occur. These have improved significantly since the game’s release in December 2020, but it still wasn’t the same – during many updates, we’ve experienced passive policemen and those who could bizarrely teleport to remote locations. However, according to the developer, we should expect “a completely new experience and a modified police system”. As you can see in the demo, this will also apply to the shootouts on the road. For example, he will destroy police roadblocks and fight while driving.
Phantom Liberty launches on September 26 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It will cost 30 euros.
