Phantom Blade Zero for PS5: Unreal Engine 5, 2K/4K at 60fps, and Potential Xbox Version

The Chinese S-Game took Phantom Blade Zero to Chinajoy 2023 and in a recent interview, the founder of the studio shared information about the targets they were working on for the PlayStation 5 version.

As revealed by Soulframe Liang, the use of Unreal Engine 5 will allow for high quality visuals, but if you want to opt for a focus on performance, you can sacrifice resolution to reach 60fps.

In an interview with Wccftech, Liang shared that Phantom Blade Zero will come to PS5 with 2K mode at 60fps and another 4K mode at 30fps, but that could change throughout development. The team is still trying to reach 4K at 60fps and if they succeed, it will be one of the options to present.

Liang says “our team is looking at ways to achieve 4K at 60fps on PS5, or at least a stable 45-50fps, to provide players with the best gaming experience.”

Phantom Blade Zero was announced without a date for PS5 and PC, but S-Game ensures that there is no exclusivity. An Xbox version is possible, but for now they are focused on these two platforms.
