The US Coast Guard has deployed air assets to aid the Philippines in its response to an oil spill caused by the MT Princess tanker. The incident has affected over 170,000 people, destroyed crops worth P3.8m ($77,700) and impacted 12 towns in Mindoro island. The Philippines Coast Guard has raised the response to the highest level.
