The departmental delivery of modern medical technological equipment is in progress within the framework of the COOFHEA-2 project, which is implemented jointly with the Region of Epirus through a Program Contract.
The project entitled “COOperation For HEAlth-COOFHEA 2” is financed by the INTERREG V/A Operational Program “Greece – Italy 2014-2020”, with a total budget of €1,260,000.00 and includes the supply of a total of 35 different categories of state-of-the-art medical technological equipment amounting to 86 pieces.
As part of the departmental deliveries, the following important equipment was received in the previous days:
- three (3) hemodialysis machines for the Hemodialysis Unit with a budget of €45,000.00 including VAT. – one (1) ULTRA HD 4K laparoscopic tower for gynecological use, with a budget of €100,000.00 including VAT.
The hemodialysis machines (photo.1) belong to the manufacturing company NIKISSO type DBB EXA and with their supply a 5-year cycle of upgrading and replacing all the outdated hemodialysis machines of the Artificial Kidney Unit of PGNI (9 places) is completed.
The laparoscopic system for gynecological use (photo 2) is state-of-the-art and belongs to the German manufacturer Richard WOLF-type ULTRAHD 4K. It has ULTRA HD 4096 X 2160 (2160p – progressive scan) 4K natural resolution, incorporates the new fluorescent imaging method through Indocyanine Green (ICG) contrast and has the latest digital image processing systems to improve the endoscopic image with better detail, for better diagnostic evaluation. This addition upgrades to the maximum extent the services offered to citizens by the University Gynecology Clinic of PGNI and pioneers throughout West-Northwest Greece, in fact, it was put into clinical operation and was already used in surgeries performed by the PGNI surgeons-gynecologists.
