PFU postpones the processing of Trond Giske’s complaints against five newspapers

On Wednesday morning, the Press’ Professional Committee was to process Trond Giske’s complaints, but the processing has been postponed until 27 October.

Trond Giske has complained to five newspapers about cases that include a nachspiel and a warning. Here is Giske after a panel debate at the media conference Svarte Natta in 2019.

Media 24 writes on Tuesday night that the treatment has been postponed due to Trond Giske’s hospitalization. Giske himself wrote on Facebook that he was diagnosed with gallstones and inflammation and on Tuesday was admitted to Ullevål hospital.

– I have decided that we postpone the complaint from Giske against the newspapers until October 27, given the situation that has arisen. The decision has been made in agreement with complaints. This is what Secretary General of the Norwegian Press Association, Elin Floberghagen, tells Medier24.
