This afternoon the first shipment of doses of Pfizer’s Comirnaty vaccine against Covid-19, approved by Cofepris last week, arrived in the country for sale to the general public in private offices and pharmacies.
This is monovalent mRNA with the update of the seasonal omicron variant XBB.1.5 of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
On December 7, Cofepris granted health registration to the Spikevax vaccine (monovalent XBB.1.5) from ModernaTx. Inc. and that of Pfizer.

Said Health Commission said that the transition of authorization was achieved in record time, after a rigorous analysis and evaluation of the clinical performance of the biologics.
