Pfizer wants to use corona vaccine in 12 to 15-year-olds

(ABM FN-Dow Jones) Pfizer wants to use the corona vaccine that it has developed with the German BioNTech in 12 to 15-year-olds and has requested approval from the US Food & Drug Administration. The pharmaceutical company reported this on Friday.

The vaccine can currently be used in the United States from the age of 16. According to Pfizer, study results in a Phase 3 study in 12-15 year olds have shown the vaccine to be 100 percent effective.

The side effects are similar to those previously seen in clinical studies in 16 to 25 year olds, according to the company.

The Pfizer stock rose 1.0 percent on Friday.
