Acting Director General of Pharmacy and Medical Devices of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Drg Arianti Anaya said the Pfizer vaccine will be distributed throughout Indonesia.
However, he explained that considering the vaccine requires handling in a temperature of -70 degrees Celsius, it will use certain logistics. The logistics are placed in all provinces so that vaccines can be stored properly.
“Currently, the Ministry of Health is preparing the logistics needed for handling Covid-19. In accordance with the direction of the Minister, it is preparing a cold chain of -70 degrees Celsius in all provinces in Indonesia,” Arianti said in a press statement on the Update on Vaccine Availability in Indonesia, Tuesday (24/8/). 2021).

Arianti explained that the number of Pfizer vaccines coming to Indonesia would be quite large and from various routes. For example, multilateral came as many as 5 million doses, while through direct purchases as many as 50 million doses.
Pfizer’s bilateral vaccine will come in stages. “The 50 million bilaterals will come until December,” said Arianti.
