A healthcare worker in New York City had a serious allergic reaction to the Pfizer vaccine, officials said. To date, more than 30,000 injections of the Pfizer vaccine have been administered in the city. Other US states have already reported similar cases.

New York City Health Commissioner Dr. Dave Chokshi informed a press conference on Dec. 23 that a health care worker suffered an “Significant allergic reaction” to the Pfizer vaccine. This is the only case of the more than 30,000 injections of the Pfizer vaccine to date in New York.
The manager added that the patient received treatment. She is in stable condition and recovering.
In addition, he stressed that people who have previously developed allergic reactions should consult their doctor before receiving the Pfizer vaccine.

On December 9, British health authorities advised against administering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to people who had previously had“Significant allergic reactions”, after two cases of poor response to first injections in the UK.
