Pfizer Vaccine Boosters for Children 5-11 Years Old Begin in Sinaloa to Fight COVID-19

As part of the strategy to continue protecting Sinaloans from COVID, the application of the Pfizer vaccine as a booster among girls and boys between 5 and 11 years of age has already begun, as explained by the director of Prevention and Promotion of Health Kenny Inzunza Leyva at Governor Rubén Rocha Moya’s Weekly Conference.

The director of prevention and health promotion explained that this reinforcement consists of 24 thousand Pfizer doses for children, and mentioned that vaccination will continue when the Federal Government sends more vaccines.

He assured that Sinaloa occupies the 14th position nationally in terms of COVID and that, to date, there is no hospitalized person or any case of death has been recorded due to this virus, so the state is well prepared for this issue.

“24 thousand Pfizer doses have just been administered this week to children between 5 and 11 years of age… Since the federal government sends more vaccines, we will continue with the vaccination, right now there is no one hospitalized and there are no deaths from COVID, at the level Nationally, we are in 14th place by proportion, so we are doing very well in terms of COVID,” he said.
