Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Korea applied for official approval of Corona 19 vaccine within this month

It is reported that Pfizer Korea has applied for an item license for a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccine to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety during this month.

According to the pharmaceutical industry on the 21st, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Korea decided to apply for a formal product license with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety within this month, and is preparing for the approval procedure.

Pfizer Pharm has been following up since it applied for a preliminary review of non-clinical and clinical phase 1, 2, and 3 data before applying for a COVID-19 vaccine license to the Food and Drug Administration on January 18.

For Pfizer vaccine to be introduced in Korea, it is necessary to apply for a license to use it with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. The permit review period is 40 days, but it can be introduced only after obtaining permission from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. The national shipment approval period, which must be obtained before vaccination, is also within 20 days.

AstraZeneca, a 10 million people who announced that the government will start vaccination from the end of February, has already applied for permission.
