“We are aware that some hospitals are pre-selling, however, the Pfizer batches have not physically arrived,” stated Dr. Carlos Zúñiga.
During tours carried out by the El Sol de León team through the most popular private hospitals in the city, the search for vaccines was carried out, which turned out to be a failure.
In the most popular and recognized hospital in the northern zone, health personnel reported the absence of vaccine storage, in addition to not having any date or report regarding its supply.
“We haven’t handled it yet, we recommend you go to a public sector hospital, why haven’t they told us here if it will arrive or not,” mentioned a nurse.
Continuing with the tour, in another hospital in the northern area, located on Paseo del Moral, a nurse attended, who is responsible for managing the vaccines in stock at the hospital, who also reported the non-existence of Covid vaccines. “At this moment we don’t have any, we are still waiting for them to send us some notice, every day we are pushing for them to reach us, this has to be an emergency,” the nurse reported.
It was the same situation when searching for the vaccines in two hospitals located in the Central Zone, on Adolfo López Mateos Boulevard, where the personnel in charge reported that the vaccines had not arrived. “We don’t have any, many people come to ask questions every day, the cases continue, people are already seeking prevention,” reported the Doctor in charge.
