Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Now Available for Sale at Mexican Red Cross Locations in Edomex and Mexico City

The COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer laboratories will now also be available for sale in the local delegations of the Mexican Red Cross located in the State of Mexico and in the country’s capital.

Through a statement online, the Edomex Red Cross reported that starting next Tuesday, December 26, the vaccine will be offered to the population “with a recovery fee lower than any cost available in commercial pharmacies.”

He explained that this quota also includes the supplies to be used, such as the syringe (especially in these cases), as well as alcohol and cotton. Even so, this cost will be below the sales prices already managed by some national pharmacy chains.

What will the Pfizer vaccine cost in the Mexican Red Cross?

Although there is still no defined price, the Red Cross announced that the cost of the Pfizer vaccine will be lower than that of pharmacies, which range from 898 to 1,000 pesos, for recovery.

In this sense, the organization clarified that it does not seek to make any profit, but rather to bring the biological closer to society.

“This institution makes an important logistical and operational effort to open the best option to Mexicans to access the Pfizer biological against the COVID-19 disease, which has all the available updates on the variants and strains of the coronavirus,” said the delegate. state of the Mexican Red Cross in Edomex, Jorge Alberto Forastieri Muñoz

As announced by the Mexican Red Cross, starting Tuesday, December 26, the points of sale of the COVID-19 vaccine will be the following:

  • Naucalpan Delegation.
  • Lilas Delegation.
  • Cuautitlán Mexico Delegation.
  • Huixquilucan Delegation.
  • And the Central Hospital of Polanco.

The private assistance institution specified that the vaccine will be offered from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., from Monday to Friday, in its presentations for adults and children under five and 12 years of age.

In the case of small children, the person accompanying them must present the medical prescription from their pediatrician who orders the application of the vaccine.

For vaccination, both adults and minors must present themselves in good health and without having had symptoms of respiratory diseases for at least five days prior to the application.

So if they come with a runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing and a temperature below 36 degrees Celsius, they will not be able to be vaccinated.
