Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine has officially received emergency clearance from the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) RI on Wednesday (13/7/2021). This vaccine is said to have an efficacy value of up to 95.5 percent at the age of 16 years and over and 100 percent at the age of 12-15 years.
“On Wednesday (15/7/2021) BPOM has issued the EUA for the vaccine produced by Pfizer with the mRNA platform,” said Head of BPOM Penny K Lukito in an online press release on Thursday (15/7/2021).
Reported side effects of Pfizer vaccine light in nature. Most vaccine recipients simply complain:
- Pain at the injection site
- Fatigue
- Headache
- Muscle ache
- Joint pain
- Fever
“In general, the safety of this vaccine is tolerable,” said Penny.
Pfizer Vaccines This is the fifth type of COVID-19 vaccine that has received an emergency permit from BPOM. Previously licensed vaccines were developed by Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, and Moderna.
