Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has once again confirmed that the possibility that a corona vaccine will be on the market before Christmas is growing. “What we saw as the optimal scenario is now starting to become more and more likely,” said Marc Kaptein, CEO of Pfizer Netherlands, on NPO 2.

“Pfizer has tried with an ambitious plan to get the (corona vaccine) ready before Christmas,” Kaptein stated in “Nieuwsuur” on NPO 2. “But that was always an ambition, a dream scenario.”
If the European Medicines Agency (EMA) gives permission within a few weeks, the vaccine can be on the market before Christmas, Kaptein thinks. “That scenario, which we saw as the most optimal and actually also a less likely scenario, is now becoming increasingly likely.”
