The Argentine defender Germn Pezzella, a member of the national team that won the Copa America Brasil 2021, will leave Fiorentina, from Italy, the team of which he was the captain, and return to Betis, from the first division of Spain.
The 30-year-old defender’s pass, according to the Italian news agency ANSA, will be made at four million euros. River Plata, the club from which it emerged, would receive 5% of that figure for “training rights.”
Pezzella was in Betis, where she came from Nez’s team, between 2015 and 2017, when she left for Florence. With the Italian club, in which he inherited the captain’s belt after the death of Davide Astori (2018), he had a contract until the middle of next year.
Pezzella will coincide in Betis with another Argentinean Copa America champion, midfielder Guido Rodríguez; and, at the same time, his departure from Fiorentina could open the door to starting Lucas Martnez Quarta, who joined “Viola” last season.
