Peugeot 3008: Futuristic Design, Revolutionary Interior, and Electric Powertrain

Almost coupé. The grille, in turn, is characterized by rhomboidal geometric elements with a parametric design, gradually larger from the Lion logo to the ends of the grille. The geometric look of the alloy wheels and the entire configuration of the rear are also very futuristic, with a steep rear window, glossy black pillars (like the roof with a suspended effect) and a chrome strip that underlines the bold line, similar to that of the recent 408.

Inside is the new generation i-Cockpit. Ready to go online (right in Sochaux) and to be followed by the more spacious and quiet e-5008 derivative, the new 3008 will also be revolutionary in its interiors: here the new generation i-Cockpit will make its first appearance, characterized by the presence of a new 21″ panoramic curved screen which contains the digital instrument panel and the infotainment display in a single element. In addition to the classic (but always controversial) small diameter steering wheel, there will also be a second screen lower in the console which will host some shortcuts (obviously configurable) for the main functions.

Stla Medium, up to 700 km of autonomy. Another absolutely new aspect, as anticipated, is that of the platform: under the e-3008 there is the Stla Medium which will become the backbone of the entire Stellantis offer in the C and D segments of the market and which will also have a fundamental role for the Opel and the group’s Italian brands. In the case of the e-3008, the architecture should accommodate three different zero-emission powertrains and offer a range of approximately 700 km on the WLTP cycle, in the long range version.

And the thermals? Maybe just one. Since it is an “electric first” and not “electric only” platform, the Stla Medium was designed with electric in mind, but it can also accommodate internal combustion engines: on this front, the offer should consist substantially (if not solely ) in the recent 1.2 three-cylinder turbopetrol with 48 volt mild hybrid system. A choice of great simplification of the traditional range, in line with Peugeot’s objective of offering an electric variant of every model by 2025 and of becoming a 100% EV brand by 2030 in Europe.
