The restyling of the Peugeot 208 had been unveiled at the beginning of July. Now, the French automaker opened orders of the new model in Italy. At the same time, he provided more information on the fittings and prices. It will arrive in the concessionaires during the month of November.
THE RESTYLING
We recall that the restyling introduced a series of tweaks to the design of the 208. In particular, a new luminous signature has arrived. Now, the front is characterized by the presence of three vertical LED bars integrated into the glossy black inserts of the bumper. In the GT versions, the three elements can also be found in the internal arrangement of the main light clusters.
As for the interior, thei-Cockpit it can count on a 10-inch instrumentation screen which adopts 3D graphics on the GT version. Only on the Active trim level is the instrumentation still analog, with a small 3.5-inch display. The infotainment, in all versions, has a 10-inch display.
Speaking of enginesthe new Peugeot 208 can be chosen in the PureTech 75, PureTech 100, HYBRID 100 and HYBRID 136 versions. The scheme is as follows:
Pure Tech 75 : 3-cylinder 1.2-litre engine with 75 HP, 5-speed manual gearbox
Pure Tech 100 : 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine with 100 HP, 6-speed manual gearbox
HYBRID 100: 3-cylinder 1.2-litre displacement of 100 HP mated to the 6-speed e-DCS6 dual-clutch electrified gearbox including an electric motor
HYBRID 136: 3-cylinder 1.2-litre displacement of 136 HP mated to the 6-speed e-DCS6 dual-clutch electrified gearbox including an electric motor
Alternatively, the 100% electric e-208 version equipped with the new is available 115 kW (156 HP) electric motor with 54 kWh battery, for a range of about 400 km.
EQUIPMENT AND PRICES
The new Peugeot 208 can be chosen in the Active, Allure and GT trim levels. The first offers, among other things, LED front and rear lights, 16-inch “Monti” steel wheels, 10-inch infotainment screen with Wireless Mirrorscreen and analogue instrument cluster with 3.5-inch central screen.
Going up a level, the Allure trim level offers as standard equipment 16-inch two-tone “Noma” diamond-finish alloy wheels with a new design, grille in body color, tinted rear windows and rear window, front and rear parking sensors, digital instrument panel and TEP/fabric upholstery with contrasting Quartz stitching.
Finally, the GT trim level offers Full LED headlights, 3D LED rear lights, 17-inch two-tone diamond-finished “YANAKA” wheels, Keyless Access & Start with proximity function, 180-degree HD rear view camera and Wireless smartphone charging, compact steering wheel in full-grain leather with integrated multimedia controls, sports pedals, configurable 3D digital instrument panel and Ambient LED pack in 8 different colours.
How much does it cost new Peugeot 208 in Italy? The Italian range has a price list that starts at 20,120 euros for the PureTech 75 petrol version in Active set-up, 23,820 for the new HYBRID 48V e-DCS6 100 HP engine (Active) and 36,430 for the new 156 HP electric engine (Active).
