“Petrovi with the flu” is an excellent novel for reading pleasure

There are books where every word, every phrase causes an immediate reaction from the reader: smile, surprise, joy, sadness or even anger. Interact, in a word. Complaints and appeals. Such is also the great novel “Petrovi ar gripu” by Alexei Salnikov, the action of which takes place on several imperceptibly interconnected planes: reality, fever, nightmares, imagination, dreams… The situations in which the characters of the book find themselves are recognizable and every day, being at the same time out of the ordinary and everyday, the characters of the novel are known and unknown at the same time – as if the reader is trying to get to know them in the depths of his soul. Works? Hmmm, you’ll have to decide after reading it. This is definitely a book to be read slowly and gradually, a true literary delight. Vivid language, appropriate notations, interesting types and situations in which each of us found ourselves became extraordinary thanks to the author’s way of expressing himself and the ability to create his own parallel reality.
