Petrol or diesel? This question has been around for years and while both fuels have their proponents, the dilemma is likely to remain unresolved for many years to come. The team behind the Officially Gassed channel have tried to answer this much-debated question in their new video, comparing a Skoda Fabia 1.9 TDI diesel and a Golf 2.0 GTI petrol.
In drag racing, the two cars go head-to-head, and while they have some important differences in year of manufacture, weight and other parts, both cars are in the same class, albeit heavily modified. The Skoda factory is equipped with a 1.9-liter diesel engine, which after many modifications and investments already generates 380 horsepower.
Across the street is the Golf 6 GTI with a 2.0-litre petrol engine, also out of factory specification and also boasting 380 horsepower. Both cars rely on the front tires for propulsion.
