Bad news for all motorists regarding expensive petrol: from the new year it rises to 2 euros per liter and represents an unexpected shock for millions of drivers grappling with the crisis.
The crisis rampant is claiming more than one victim: the dear lifethe increase in bills and prices of consumer goods including food they are truly bringing millions of families and citizens of the country to their knees, forced to make sacrifices that until now only belonged to the darkest scenarios of the worst of films.
If to this we add the expensive petrol son of inflation and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the omelette is done: unfortunately, however, the bad news has not ended for those who own a machine or a motorcycle, or even both. In fact, it seems that there is one coming soon very strong blow starting from the end of the yearwhen the discounts applied to date will drop by almost 50%.
It is difficult in a period like this to make unanimous and popular decisions that meet all the demands needs: from the citizen to the motorcyclist, from the craftsman to the haulier, passing through the operator of the petrol pump up to the suppliers of combustible.
An extreme historical conjunction that makes necessary, also causes inflation and war in Ukraine, one more reduction of the discount which had come close to 31% on the price of petrol. But From December 1, everything changesand sadly not for the better.
Expensive petrol: this is what has changed since December
Very fresh and alas not too good news, the one that concerns the end of the period of discount on the price of petrol: from 1 December, in fact, the discounts applied so far are reduced by almost 50%going from 30.5 cents to 18.3 cents of discount for every liter introduced into the tank.
This what is contained in the draft of the Dpcm together with the Maneuver envisaged by the new incumbent Meloni government: a real blow awaits motorists and motorcyclists, who will see increase excise duties on petrol up to 578.40 euros per thousand liters and up to 467.40 euros per thousand liters for diesel-powered vehicles and gas oils used as fuel.
The cut is therefore clear and decisive: we go from the current 30.5 cents discount to the distributor (25 cents + the cost of VAT) to the 15 cents discount + VAT, for a total of 18.30 cents discount for each litre of refueling done. A hard blow for families, already burdened and choked by a crisis without history that is putting strained wallets and nerves of all sectors economic and social aspects of the country.
