Shocking! Seven Petrol fans have been arrested in Greece for being caught with various white weapons in their van, days after a Greek AEK fan was killed by Dinamo Zagreb supporters

A few days after a Greek fan of AEK Athens was killed by Dinamo Zagreb supporters, seven fans of Petrol Ploiesti were caught with various whites in the van.

The Romanians who are part of the “Knot 2004” brigade, part of the Petrol gallery, were detained at the Greek customs Promachonas when they were trying to enter Greece with a van containing several white weapons and pyrotechnic materials, but also a t-shirt and a scarf in the colors of the Super League club.

The seven Romanians were heading to Piraeus to participate in the match between Olympiakos Piraeus and Genk. They wanted to take part in the match because the Petrol ultras have been twinned for several years with a brigade from Genk’s turf which is called “Geneche 2007”.

According to the information provided by the Greek media, the policemen of the Serres Security Sub-Directorate made seven arrests, while during the investigation, among other things, two knives were found.

An AEK fan has died after being stabbed by Dinamo Zagreb supporters

The incident involving the seven Petrol fans comes a few days after an AEK Athens fan was stabbed by Dinamo Zagreb supporters andi a murit.

In addition to the Greek fan who died after being stabbed, 8 other AEK Athens supporters suffered quite serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital.

AEK Athens and Dinamo Zagreb were supposed to face each other in the first leg of the Champions League preliminary round three, but the match was postponed at UEFA’s request.

The match between Olympiacos Piraeus and Genk in the third round of the Europa League takes place today, at 22.00, and the second leg is scheduled for Thursday, August 17, at 21.00.
