In July, 114 million liters of car petrol were sold in Norway. This is an increase of 3.6 per cent compared with the same month in 2020, new figures show. This is an increase of four million liters, figures show Statistics Norway (SSB).
At the same time, sales of autodiesel have increased by three per cent, compared with the same period as in 2020. Overall, the balance of fuel for road traffic has increased by 2.3 per cent.

The statistics are startling, considering that electric cars take up an increasing share of the Norwegian car fleet, with new sales records often.
On the other hand, the month of July has been characterized by a joint holiday and a large number of Norwegians who have ridden on «Norgesferie», which was also the case last year.

Sales of aviation fuel also rose in July. 36 million jet paraffin was sold, which was four million liters more than in July 2020.
