Topics to be discussed by the delegation include:
- How to collaboratively solve the food crisis in the short term and, at the same time, transform and decarbonise the food system.
- How to collaboratively solve the energy crisis in the short term and, at the same time, enable the energy transition by accelerating investments in renewable energy.

It should be remembered that the Yara company confirmed in November 2022 that for its Cartagena plant, in Mamonal, they are evaluating two projects to increase their production capacity and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in their processes.
The first project has to do with the increase in the production of fertilizers. This is 80 thousand tons more of NPK (types of fertilizers) with which the plant will have the capacity to produce around 500,000 tons of products per year, revealed Pedro Parenti, Yara’s leader for Latin Americaa The universal.
Nowadays, the plant produces 300 thousand tons of NPK and 100 thousand tons of calcium nitrate, plus ammonia and other intermediate products and raw materials. (Read: The situation of the increase in the price of fertilizers in Colombia and Latin America is worrying)
In Colombia, most fertilizers are imported and that is why Yara has thought about the expansion project that would represent a contribution of 5% of more products than what is consumed nationally and reduce dependence on imported ones. Yara has had a presence in Colombia for more than 30 years.
