In the current week (December 27-29), the Alpine Ski World Cup continues with giant slalom and slalom in the Austrian resort of Semmering. Slovakian skier Petra Vlhová will also compete at the start of all disciplines.
Petra Vlhová has so far had 8 appearances in this year’s World Cup (in Levi in Finland, Killington in the USA, Sestriere in Italy and St. Moritz in Switzerland), which she has turned into four third and two fourth places. In the coming days, therefore, you will attack for your first victory of the current season. She is back in action after the other two eliminations in downhill and super-G.
Petra Vlhová figures in the overall World Cup standings in fourth place with a loss of 235 points to leader Mikaela Shiffrinová. In the giant slalom, the native of Liptovský Mikuláš is also fourth with a gap of 70 points from the first Marta Bassinová, and in the slalom standings she is second, losing 95 points to the leading pair Wendy Holderová and Mikaela Shiffrinová.
