BRATISLAVA. After the night race in Courchevel, Petra Vlhová went to Italy, where she will celebrate the Christmas holidays with her closest friends.
“I will have two days off and then I will prepare for the next race in Lienzi. For the last few years, I haven’t even noticed that it’s Christmas. I don’t have all that stuff around because I’m doing something else,” she revealed.
The 28-year-old skier admitted that this year’s Christmas will not be purely Slovak.
“We probably won’t have classic Slovak food this year. Cakes do, however. Someone can’t imagine it, but I got used to it. When I’m done skiing, which won’t take forever, then I’ll be able to enjoy everything. I take it in such a way that now even if I don’t have something to eat, I don’t mind at all.”
What is the successful representative most looking forward to?
“I tame myself the whole time I’m competing, so I’ll give it my all and I won’t tame myself. I can’t overeat somehow, but I’ll eat whatever I feel like. And the next day I will return to my carousel. I’m most looking forward to the cake. I like sweets,” she said with a smile.
After the Christmas holidays, the Vlhová race awaits in Lienzi, where giant slalom and slalom are on the program.
