The visit of the Prime Minister Kiril Petkov to Azerbaijan has been postponed. The reason is the decision of the Prime Minister to attend the vote in the National Assembly on the budget update, as well as to show the support of the government for the Speaker of the National Assembly Nikola Minchev. This was announced by the government press service.
Prime Minister Petkov has repeatedly and with strong arguments stated his support for this update, on which depend the tax relief for working parents, the most significant increase in pensions in the last 10 years, measures to reduce energy prices, aid for gasoline and diesel , as well as many other social payments, which make the adoption of the new budget a top priority for the government responsible to Bulgarian citizens.
The Prime Minister Kiril Petkov had a telephone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today. The two discussed topics of strategic importance for Bulgaria’s energy independence. It was agreed that the postponed visit would take place as soon as possible.
