Every day, and today as well, we make requests to Gazprom: “Please fulfill your delivery according to the contract”, this is what the resigned Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said in “Face to Face” on bTV. He explained that this was a response to statements that ties with the Russian company had been severed. Petkov also said he would hold an official dinner with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev to try to double the amount of Azeri gas supplies to Bulgaria.
Petkov also said that it was a lie that Azeri gas could not enter our country because of the lack of connection. There’s an old one and he’s running on it right now, he explained.
“This week or next, the Greek gas connection will have Act 16, which will immediately reduce the price by 1/3”, stated Kiril Petkov. He also sharply criticized the idea of capping the price of gasoline at BGN 2.75.
“I want it to be a ceiling of BGN 2, but that doesn’t work. If there is free movement of fuels in Europe, what will happen? All gasoline will be exported because we cannot oblige the manufacturer to sell only in Bulgaria. But it is very easy to come out and say: “I am Boyko Borisov and I want a ceiling on the price of gasoline”, explained Kiril Petkov.
