“Peteris Vasks invites you. Summer. Wilderness”
On Saturday, August 12, the biggest summer concert of the 12th season of the Pēteris Vaskas Foundation and the 15th concert season of the Mazās Mežotne Palace “Pēteris Vasks invites you. Summer. Mežotne”, where the string quartet “Akilone” (France) performed.
Magdalena Gek, Elise De–Bendelac, Perrine Guillemot–Munck and Lucie Mercat played in the quartet. The quartet played the opus of Pēteras Vaskas, Xu Yi (Xu Yi), as well as the premiere of a new work by Andras Dzenīš.
Also, the annual outdoor art exhibition with the art of Ieva Krūmiņa, Antra Augustinovića, Ivan Onnellinen and Anna Pommere was opened in the palace.
The foundation and the representatives of the palace say a big thank you to the musicians, composers, and guests who support the concerts!
The next concert in the palace is expected on September 9, 2023 with the participation of Trio Palladio.
