Péter Török: Former Haladás VSE Football Player, Coach, and Manager Passes Away at 82

Péter Török, the former football player, coach and manager of Haladás VSE, died at the age of 82 at the age of 82, reports Haladás official page.

Péter Török started his football career at Haladás VSE in 1966, he was the coach of the youth team from 1968 to 1972, then from 1972 to 1978 he was a field coach, from 1978 to 1981 he was the executive president of the club, and from 1981 to 1985 he was the head coach.

His best result as a coach was a seventh place, which was considered a good performance in the field at the time. He won the Nehru Cup held in India with Haladas, known as the Hungarian Olympic team. Then in 1986 he became the second coach of the Hungarian national team alongside Imre Komora, and in 1987 he was appointed the coach of Dunaújváros. In the period between 1987 and 1989, he performed the duties of secretary general of the Hungarian Football Association. He then worked abroad (1989–1991), in Greece he was the second coach of Olympiakos Piraeus alongside Imre Komora, and under their management the team won the Greek Cup.

In the 1991/92 championship year, he was the head coach again at Haladás, and then managed the professional work of the team there for two years in the city of Myre, Norway. After returning home, in the 1995/96 season, he was the head coach at Budapest Honvéd. Then, until 1997–1999, he was the club director and professional director of Haladás, and until 1999–2000, he was the professional director and managing director of Honvéd.
